School Involvement

Horry Electric is committed to the communities it serves. We are especially committed to the students across Horry County, as they are the leaders of tomorrow.

Horry Electric is happy to participate in Career Days, Touch-A-Truck Demonstrations, and more.

If you’re interested in having a lineman attend your event, please contact Brian Chestnut, safety coordinator, at 843-369-6415 or email brian.chestnut@horryelectric.com. You can also email Jessie Robinson, operations assistant, at jessie.robinson@horryelectric.com.

We have an exhibit called Trouble in Tiny Town that demonstrates the dangers of electricity and power lines. If you’re interested in viewing this live demonstration, contact jennifer.cummings@horryelectric.com.

Once a year, we offer a magic show, called “Making Accidents Disappear.” The magic show is available to any school in Horry County and is generally offered at the beginning of the school year.

If you’re interested in booking the Magic Show, contact Toni Gore at 843-369-6359 or email toni.gore@horryelectric.com.
