Bright Ideas & 5k Race
Bright Ideas is a grant program designed to provide funding for innovative classroom-based educational projects.
Bright Ideas education grants are intended to fund projects outside of normal public and private school funding parameters and can be made available to all disciplines in grades K-12 in Horry County. All Horry County teachers may submit one (1) application per year.
The maximum grant amount teachers can apply for is $1,000.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026.

We’re excited to announce the start of this annual event to support the Horry Electric bright Ideas Education Grants program.
Join us in Downtown Conway, SC at the Riverwalk on Saturday, April 18!
The 5k starts at 8 a.m., rain or shine! The race will help raise money for the Bright Ideas Education Grants program, which benefits teachers and students across Horry County!
