South Carolina 211 is a one-step resource for finding assistance in the local community. It is an information hotline staffed by United Way. The service refers callers to local community resources for assistance with a variety of needs including rent payment assistance, homeless shelters, utility service payment assistance, food pantries and crisis shelters. Just dial 211 or 866-892-9211 to speak with a referral specialist. It’s free, confidential, 24/7, and offered in any language. Online assistance is also provided.

Notice of Meter Change-Out Project
Beginning in August, Horry Electric contractor crews will be working to replace electric meters that are more than 20 years old. Crews will be working by substation areas. This is estimated to be a year-long project.
