Cooperative Youth Summit for High School Sophomores
The annual Cooperative Youth Summit is an all expenses paid trip to South Carolina’s capital, each summer for current high school sophomores (rising juniors). Selected youth representatives will tour the Statehouse, meet with lawmakers and see how co-ops are preparing for our state’s energy future.
Horry Electric sponsors up to four (4) representatives from Horry County to participate in the Cooperative Youth Summit. Interested sophomores will need to submit an application and participate in a personal interview as part of the selection process.
The deadline for 2026 is 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
